AcuDart Stands Tall

What are Tick-Borne Diseases?

Tick-borne diseases (TBDs) are transmitted through the bite of an infected tick. Lyme disease, the most prevalent TBD, is one of the fastest-growing infectious diseases in the United States, affecting nearly 500,000 people annually across all 50 states. Other common TBDs include Tick-Borne Relapsing Fever, Bartonellosis, Babesiosis, and Rickettsiosis.

Why test for Tick-Borne Diseases?

Diagnosis of a TBD based on clinical grounds is very challenging because symptoms of a TBD can mimic many other diseases. These diseases can also affect any organ of the body, including the brain and nervous system, muscles and joints, and the heart. Only with accurate and reliable testing can you determine if you have a TBD.
